Helpfull Hints
Mudfever- it's a common ailment, mainly caused by the bacterium Dermatophilus congolenis. It thrives in wet conditions and results in scabby lesions over the pasterns and heels. These are painful and often horses with mudfever will become lame. Because of the NZ climate, mudfever is difficult to avoid. So, if you are in a region prone to mudfever, keep two products at the forefront of your mind. Pasternoint, and Equiderm. Both come in 225g or 450g, and are likely to be a necessity on many peoples shopping lists and are available from Forbes & Co. Feel free to phone or email, the staff are here to help.
